Panther
Panther stuff
I just installed panther on my precious 17″ pb and I
have to say it’s the BEST OS EVER. I just love the new features. Let’s start
with fast user switching, it’s been available for a while on winxp but the
panther one feels so better, especially with the animated rotating desktops.
Expose has to be my favorite new thing, clearing my desktop with a click of a
button, or spreading my open windows with another click, spreading open windows
of the same app with another, it’s just great for multitasking.
The new finder is also great, it has a set of your mounted volumes on one side, a set of highly used folders on the bottom of that, the ability to label with color your folder is great to highlight stuff and it’’s searchable by color. It also includes updates to some of the iApps, home folder encryption, secure erase, a new iDisk for those .Mac users. In the end it’s just great!
