Vegas PT 2:
ITCC and Other stuff.
Here comes the more boring part of my Vegas stay.
The reason I was there was for ITCC, the conference started on monday and ended
on wednesday. We went to a few presentations on monday but they totally murdered
us, everyone was reading slides and had incredibly heavy slides with crypto
algorithms written down and other things, incredibly hard to follow even though
you might understand what they are talking about.
On tuesday we didn’t go to any presentations and decided to chill out, I did go pick up an adapter for my embedded systems class that I needed in order to actually finish the damn thing. I took a cab to the place where my adapter was made and when I got there the adapter was too big, good thing I brought the chip to check it out. This means I had to return on wednesday to pick the thing up.
On wednesday we went to a few presentations and I gave mine. These presentations were actually much better than the others, I did ok with mine, I was a little nervous and didn’t practice enough (I didn’t have the EB whip crackers behind me) so I kind of flew over it. I did get some visual feedback from the audience and they did seem to know what I was trying to say, so I assume it wasn’t a total wreck.
