Man I’m totally stressed out, I’ve been working
my ass off in my microprocessor lab trying to get the damn LCD controller to
work (Epson S1D13705). First I had the chip, but I couldn’t use it because it
was a QFP14 chip, then when I got back from Vegas, I brought the necessary
adapter with me to get it done, Ana soldered the chip to the adapter, and we
thought we were ready to go. We thought wrong, we needed longer pins to do the
wirewrapping, so I got the longer pins, put them on, and started wirewrapping
the damn thing, we are talking about 80 pins here, so its a real pain. I
wirewrapped it the first time, and it didn’t work for some reason, I
disconnected the damn thing, and decided to do it again, exactly how it would be
used at the end, we are using shift registers for the address lines because our
microcontroller doesn’t have enough pins). I connect the damn thing, exactly how
I need it, connect it to the MCU, and BAM!, I can’t flash the MCU anymore. After
debugging for a while, I notice it has to do with the voltage and ground
connections, I disconnect those, and redo them, and then I notice it had to do
with the voltage and ground when the shift registers are connected. I decided to
go home and keep working on it tomorrow, 10 - 12 hours a day in the lab is
starting to get tiring….
