Two days of Slack
This past Thursday and Friday I went to see The Slackers at Flamingo Cantina. Ana flew down from Seattle for the weekend and Cesar Joined us for Fridays show. Overall I have to say, It was just AWESOME!.
On Thursday they played for like 1 hour and 45 minutes and on Friday they played for like 2 hours and a half, this includes 2 encores, which is just insane. Between both sets they probably repeated around 45-60 minutes of songs and played pretty much all the songs everyone wanted to hear and then some.
I was extremely satisfied with their performance and when Thursday ended I was eager for Fridays Show. Take into consideration that I’ve been listening to this band since I was a teenager, and that Ska and Reggae music were very influential in my early years so their songs have a very special place in my heart and I was very excited to see the band live again (I saw them during my summer in Boston).
I did miss the presence of Q-MAXX, aparently he left the band for x or y reason. Glen Pine did a good job in filling his shows as a singer and a performer though, so it was all good. Pictures Here
